Harald is responsible for development of DE-CIX’s Cloud Exchange and various cloud services. He is also responsible of establishing partnerships within the industry with cloud service providers, internet service providers and data centers. Harald has finished studies in the field of classic software development. In his professional career, he was the managing owner of an Internet service provider and system house for over 20 years. During this time, his area of responsibility ranged from organizational tasks to sales, product management and finance. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, he was already involved in cloud strategies, the development, marketing and sale of his own and purchased cloud services. The focus was on infrastructure as a service and shared services in the communications area.
Erik Norup is responsible for the DE-CIX business developments efforts in the Nordics, with a special focus on Cloud and Interconnection services for Enterprises. Responsibility includes the execution of business models from conception to full execution and program management. The goal is to develop a network of partners that will sell our Enterprise service portfolio in the Nordics.
Erik specialized in Data Communication from his university days, and has since worked with Industrial networking & controls, the European-wide IXI Infrastructure backbone network, and worked for several networking companies including Alcatel, Dowty, Cray and Cisco. Later experiences cover ten years with Security products and seven years in Cloud migration from On-prem to Cloud in the Enterprise field – areas where the latency and connectivity focus is vital.
Erik has solid experience in working on C-level in the outbound functions of a company and worked for venture companies & in the management of many venture-backed companies which was later sold to larger players. As such his passion is strongly on communicating the benefits of the solutions and facilitating the onwards journey for networking technology.
