How to ensure both digital sovereignty and digital productivity in an age of geopolitical tension?
In a world marked by geopolitical uncertainty, Danish companies face a dual challenge: mitigating new digital risks while still having to boost productivity by 20-30% to stay competitive. 88% of executives says that digital re-invention and digital productivity are top priorities in 2025, but yet only a third stay on budget for cloud transformations - and just one out four see positive ROI on cloud investments.
At the same time new questions call for an answer:
Are we able to move our critical IT systems and sensitive data to datacenters under Danish or European control?
How can we - in a safe and effective way - use our critical business data to maximize business impact of generative AI?
How can we ensure digital mobility and avoid vendor lock-ins that could limit abilities to innovate and prove to be extremely costly?
But what is it Danish orgainizations should do? How should the recalibrate their IT-strategy to enable digital sovereignty and at the same time adress the significant need for increased productivy?
This is what we attempt to give inspiration to on June 17th.
At IBM, we’ve already made that shift. Through implementation of a Hybrid by design architecture we have not only obtained digital sovereignty but also enabled fast scaling of strategic use of AI. Hence we’ve unlocked $3.5 billion in productivity gains, and we’ve built a cloud architecture that’s agile, borderless, and ready for change. With over a century of experience navigating both peace and crisis, we’ve designed a setup for today’s volatile world.
Join us to learn how digital sovereignty and productivity can be achieved together - and how to lead your organization through a smarter, more resilient transformation.

Digital sovereignity and geopolitical realities – Is Denmark prepared?
In a time marked by increasing geopolitical uncertainty and growing digital dependency, Denmark and Europe face a strategic choice: Should we be digital consumers - or digital decision-makers? With digitalization as one of the key drivers of competitiveness, innovation, and security, the need for digital sovereignty and more resilient IT infrastructure is more important than ever.
This presentation focuses on how the current global situation is impacting the strategies and adaptability of Danish businesses. Are Danish organizations agile enough to navigate a new world order? How do we balance global cooperation with the need for European technological independence?

Hybrid by Default & Hybrid by Design?
This session will introduce IBM's Hybrid by Design framework.
The 5 key priorities underpinning the success of “Business Cloud Masters”:
Drive product-centric mindset to enable business priorities
Build international architecture to accelerate and scale business competences
Create consistent development and operational experience across platforms
Empower product teams to exploit hybrid capabilities
Harness the power of all data and scale gen AI deployment
Leading up to the three transformation Areas: product-led by design, integration by design and technology by design, which we will exemplify through client cases in the next session.

Making intentional architectural decisions will be important to move towards digital sovereignty
In this session we will discuss the architectural control points that will enable you to answer the following questions:
How do I distinguish between commodity IT and Core IT?
What, and how fast can I move from one cloud to another?
Which leavers do I have to control my IT cost?
Do I have the right data in the right quality to build the right models to support my business?
How do I seamlessly integrate existing systems with upcoming IT services across multiple clouds and service providers?
How do I provide personalized services to employees, partners and customers in a cost-efficient way?
How do I efficiently manage my IT services and keep them working while I modernize and transform across multiple clouds?
How do I manage the threat from potential perpetrators while protecting the sovereignty of my data?
